Leading with Entrepreneurship: Succeeding in Revitalization
October 13-16, 2021
Welcome to Baltimore, where our dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem, charming arts and entertainment scene, and 13 universities are the campus for the world’s premier entrepreneurship centers to convene, learn, and celebrate with GCEC, the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers, in fall 2021.
As your hosts, Loyola University Maryland and the University of Baltimore will feature GCEC members’ success stories in entrepreneurship and innovation in the pursuit of revitalization. We’ll showcase higher education’s role in the urgent movement to support underrepresented entrepreneurs who have been most impacted by economic crisis and hold the most potential for growth. All centers will welcome discussion on how to stay relevant when campus finances are in jeopardy, and how GCEC members play a leadership role in revitalizing both higher education, and our economy, in recovery.
Covid Conference Protocols
The conference will be held primarily at Loyola’s Evergreen campus, and follows Baltimore City COVID guidelines, which include masking in all indoor settings. The campus has undergone HVAC building modifications in response to covid; has new cleaning protocols; and supplies hand sanitizers and disinfecting spray or wipes. See more on Loyola’s plan to keep campus healthy here.
All Loyola and UBalt faculty, staff, and students are required to be vaccinated. The majority of students will be off campus for fall break during the conference. Where possible our events, including the kickoff event on Thursday, October 14, have been moved to outdoor venues.
Presentations and keynotes will all be led in person, with the option of virtual panelists, and all will accommodate virtual attendance.
